We look for genetics with high maternal traits to build performance cows, emphasizing foot structure, milking abilities, fertility, hair, and temperament.
The Simmental herd bulls are sourced from Labatte Simmentals, Meadow Acres Simmentals, Mappin Simmentals / Silver Smith Farms, Blush Rose Simmentals, EDN Simmentals, Czech Mate Livestock, and Bechnoir Simmentals.
Our Red Angus bulls are sourced from Wauter Valley Ranch, Duralta Farms, U2 Seed Stock and Flying K Red Angus.
In the spring we offer our pure bred red Simmental yearling bulls and a handful of cross bred yearling bulls by private treaty.
In October we market our cross bred steers through Cowtown Livestock of Maple Creek.
In November we offer a select group of Red Simmental sired and red angus sired bred heifers by private treaty. This group consists of two different calving dates, with short exposure periods. Some to calving ease red angus and others to, believe it or not, calving ease Charolais bulls, for the tan calf advantage.
We plant cereal grains and silage them along with high quality grass and alfalfa hays to blend and make balanced diets for optimal growth and health of our animals.
